I'm wondering what kind of gains people have gotten with their y-pipes on thier 0-60 and 1/4 times. In other words, what kind of an impact can you expect from the extra 13-15hp?

Buy one and find out, its one of the best bang for buck mod. If your a 5 speed you can enjoy it even more. You could start a thread or read the stickies in the 1/4mile 1/8mile section, should be some info there.

Ok i just spent 185.00 shipped for the w/s muffler and another 100.00 at the muffler shop to have it installed as a bolt on axle back in case i did not like it i could sell it. Well i drove home from the muffler shop (like 12 miles) And hated every mile. This thing is so loud, i thought they were pretty quiet? I should have known better it is a straight through. I tested it on my db meter when i got home and was hitting 119.5 dbs. That is the same as every other muffler i have had. ie; stillen muffler, dynomax super turbo, flowmaster 40. Now im out 285.00 just because i listened to people on here. Almost every aftermarket muffler is quiet with the factory y-pipe. Anyone want a bolt on axle-back????
yeh, i'm sorry to hear that, but i mentioned it was loud and sounded like a v8. i guess fact it, aftermarket y-pipe + any muffler = loudness. i guess its just something i'm gonna have to live w/. i added sum hardner/bandages for some leaks i found, hopefully that will help a bit.

well the stock y-pipe is very restrictive therefore killing sound....when u free up air and let it move it will make more noise.....put a stock muffler back on if u cant deal with it.....personally i had a cattman y-pipe with apexi ws exhaust on my 96 max and it sounded great to me......maybe too quiet.....if PEOPLE not just g4nismo want a quiet car DONT MOD YOUR EXHAUST

Any thoughts or experiences with the custom enterprise y pipe????

my exhaust is pretty loud right now, but i can handle a little bit more noise, but not a lot more. PLEASE HELP, im new at this stuff.

I got my headers and Y pipe on ebay OBX headers and Y pipe for $325 Terrible fitment but with some certain modifications with the motor mounts i made it possible. OBX gaskets are thick metal gaskets. Real Nice sound with a magnaflow muffler deep tone. not too loud like the civic bees in a can. But deep Tone its great. id recommend OBX if... you wouldnt mind cutting pieces from the motor mounts. other than that they are great. no problems whatsoever

Dont buy performace stuff from CustomEnterprise. In my Opinion they rip you off, Just get the hard to find aftermarket items not performance. They really rip you off.

i didnt read the whole thread but for the best seal use RTV high temp for the gaskets. if you dont like the un equal legth y pipe sound, then find the equal stillen y. An orger had one and sold it, so tyhey do make them. But too bad you cant tell what stillen will sell you these days.
