underbody neon problem.

hey guys,

I think i just shot all the neons underneath but it's like when i check the fuse wire that runs to the battery the fuse was gone . then i tried replacing the fuse neumerous time but every time i put it in it got shot. i really think it's the black controller thing that comes with the lights. IS there anyway to resolve this problem. need some advice appreciate it.

well, if your fuse keeps on blowing, it means you accidently crossed one of the negative to positive wires. thats most likely what it means. n i hope ur car isn't lowered, casue it was just a waste of money,i have a set in my house, its just chillin in my garage

Happened to me too

Check all of your neons and any exposed wires for cracks and see if any water has leaked into your neon. That happened with my Streetglow neons. All I had to do was replace the broken bulb. In the mean time I unplugged it and the other 3 worked.

Neons doesnt make you a ricer, dumbass. Its simply a way of adding accent and highlight to a car. A ricer is someone with a 2 foot hight spoiler, and a buzz box in the exaust.

where in his original post did he ask should he take his neons off? stfu and just answe his question, now because of youe stupid post this thread is more than likely gonna be bogged with people calling him a ricer. if you dont agree with what he is doin to his car go in the kitchen get a glass of water then head back to your pc and read something else.

as far as the neons go, like previously said, check for broken tubes, exposed wires, also look for condensation (sp?) in the tube. where is your positive and negative wire connected? maybe try powering and groundin it in different locations.

btw i have neonz too, dont let anyone tell you to take em off.

people are so quick to call others ricers because that's all they worry about. just do whatever you want to your car and don't worry about everyone else.
besides, he didn't ask for your opinion, but how to help out his problem.

anyway, my friend has a similar problem but it turned out to be a short in a wire, i.e, an exposed/stripped wire. maybe that's your prob.

my strobes in my old car stopped working for like 7 months. later on i finally had a chance to see what was wrong with them. so i tested them out individually n they worked. somehow, for some reason, the power wire that i used for the strobes dissappeared. like there was no more wire inside the plastic tubing...it was really wierd. i was soo puzzled because it was int he middle, n i didn't see any cracks or what not...try them individually.....maybe that can help..without the black box...that black box is jsut a distrubutor that delivers the power constantly so they don't blow and that they all light up with the same amoutn of light

That is unnecessary.

A lot of the problems from underbody neons come from the transformer itself. If you have the streetglow underbody kit, i believe it is warrantied.

i have the stillen kit and i test fit it, and it didnt do much to hide it, still very visible. im gonna try to tinker with some this stuff my dad has, its like an edge thing you use on the corners of dry wall, made of aluminum. i may try that and if it works then ill install it permenantly.
