Fuel needle problem.

Installed some Reverse glow gauges and my gas needle doesn't want to go down. I opened up the gauge and put it on E then it went back up by itself, I filled it up today and again It went up by itself. I only put a miles on the car since I filled it up. Does anyone know why it would go up and not down??

I also have a problem with my fuel needle. It goes down to fast! And to put it back to "F" it cost me like 30-35 bucks!
