Post CAI/Y-pipe install question...

Just had Budget Y and Ebay CAI (in fender) installed, no CEL. Will ECU automattically adjust to new aspiration levels or should I reset? My belief is that it will adjust over time but I thought I would check with the wise...

Thanks in advance.

you don't need to reset but if you feel the need it's simple. use philips and reach down under the steering wheel on the right side where the gas pedel is... there's the ecu..

this may be a little off topic, but i installed my y-pipe a few weeks ago, and during the last week I've noticed an increase in how hard the car pulls. Am I imagining this or have others also felt these "delayed gains"?

I guess it took a week for your ecu to adjust to the better exhaust flow. A y-pipe is one of the few bolt on mods that you can actually feel. So this is a good thing. Enjoy it.

See I completely reset the ECU (disconnect the battery technique). I think I may have slowed the entire ECU adjustment process because of the other settings I may have cleared during the process?

as long as you feel the gains my friend. We would worry if you haven't felt the gains from a Y yet. All is good.
