does it seem like i need a front end alignment?

ok so i noticed that when i am slowing down quickly my car shakes a lot. i thought it might be the roters so i had them checked out. the guy said they're fine. plus teh guy i bought my car off of said he had them replaced. a few people have told me that i might need a front end alignment. does this sound right to you. and if so, is it something i could do....cheaply?

p.s. i suck with cars and have next to no knowledge about them...

Your front rotors are causing the shake when you stop.
Have them resurfaced or replaced again.

Hey i work at a dealership and see this everyday. Have someone else check your rotors. They may need to be cut, or replaced. There is a place i know of here in Lawrence called General Auto Supply 978-683-8752 they cut rotors if you walk in there with them taken off the car. Also just to add something else it would be cheaper if you just call Autopart International and got some newer rotors and doing the job yourself. If you need a hook up on my prices gimme a call I work @ Commonwealth Motors (www.shopuslast.com) i run the Mitsubishi parts dept. I can get parts for anything. For future reference if you were ever interested in an alignment do all four. The reason being is because we have an independent suspension system and aligning the front end is just a waste of time. PM me for my work number if youre interested....

4th gen. Maximas DO NOT have an independent rear suspension - we have a live rear axle, commonly known as "the beam" which is in most everyone's opinion, the downfall of our generation Maxima. Therefore, only a front end alignment is needed.

The IRS was discontinued in the 3rd gen. Maxima, and reappeared in the 6th gen.
