for a bolt on mod the MEVI is great. If all you care about is dyno numbers then taking the extra time to install the DEK is worth it. But since both mainfolds are very similar in the curve, I can see how someone would go for the easier way out. Its just like everything in life. Usually the cheaper and easier route gets taken. Not every one shoots for the same goal.
