Dual Exhaust Question

OK heres my problem. I went to this muffler shop and they want to charge me $400 to put a dual exhaust system in. Thay have to cut into my spare tire spot. Has anyone else had to get that done? well anayways over where i live they are kind of strict on exhausts. they will give u a fix it ticket and thwy will want me to take it off. to me thats wastin money. So i was thinkin bout gettin jus the piping done and putting tips on there. I think that would be a less of a risk. Let me know what you think?

It's a cosmetic mod, just run piping around the spare tire well as you said to get the same effect. A few people on here has it done that way.

Don't bother. Yeah it looks awesome but it is a waste of solid money. With that 400 bucks you can have 00VI.

The way I had it done was going around/below the spare wheel well. Worked out perfect and definatly was not a waste of my money.
