which intake for my 99?

I'm trying to decide which intake I should buy. Looking at the Cattman with either the JWT or monsterflow filter and the Frankencar with either the K&N or Apexi filter. What are your experiences with these intakes and companies. Which one should i get for my 99?

Check the stickies, you will most likely get flamed for this. I like the hacked airbox, its the smoothest powerband. Also I have an auto so an intake makes my car lag like crazy. Just get a k&n panel filter and punch a hole in the lower air box, then save for something like a CAI or something. IMO you shouldn't get anything based on the price, patience is the key to a sweet car, impatience will cost you alot more money, do it right the first time.

Apexi is the best filter hands down. The piping is mostly for sound, so don't expect much gains, if at all. It's the filter that makes the diff in my opinion.

Just stay stock unless your getting a Forced Induction. Stock is consistant in more power ranges than aftermarket.

im going back to stock.

If you feel the need for sound, you can modify your airbox by drilling some holes in it to let some of the sound vent out. Don't go and swiss cheese the box though, lol.

Just remove the top of the stock aribox and let the popcharger sit in it with the rest of the stock assembly. This way you retain the stock resonators and snorkel and still get the sound and a bit more airflow.

Stock

All other intakes are for noise and even cause you to lose power
