starter grease

starter grease

decided I want to pull the starter this weekend to do the fix I saw at motervate . the regrease job. but in reading that i still cant figure out which grease to buy.
lithium huh?. anyone have a brand or something?.

I used generic high temperature wheel bearing grease available at Walmart. Over two years now, so far so good. But next time I will try Valvoline Durablend with Moly.

i was gonna do that but i couldn't even get the damn starter outta the car. I also bought a tube of the Valvoline grease.

3/4 inch drive

the long bolt on the starter (17mm) will take a 1/2" drive with a breaker bar on the rachet for extra leverage. It is on amazingly tight. I used amsoil sythetic grease.
