Bucking/ hesitation

99 5spd se cali spec. Car is bucking while coasting in gear/ steady throttle in first and the rpm's going up to 2500 when I push the clutch in. Cleaned the iacv with no change. Just installed a new tps lastnight ($130), no good results ,messed up. Now I can't rev over 2500 rpm without bogging down. No codes have been thrown and the only code I do get is left bank running lean when I let the car idle by itself, it drops down to 500 rpm. It has been idling like **** for months. The bucking has gotten increasingly worse over 2 or 3 months. Any ideas? I am about to take it to the dealer

Your MAF sensor is slowly dying.

I had the same prob with my cable converted 2k2 TB. I would try to floor it but it would only go up to 2500 and then bog down. The brass colored arm wasnt rotating the TPS, check for that.

2500rpm sounds like a "limp" mode. I'll look in my FSM in the morning about that.

Ya I'll bet that brass colored arm is not properly seated to the TPS or your MAF is in fact on it's way out. That's all I can imagine it being if everything is normal under 2500. While you are in there, you might do a compression test just for ****s n grins. I've heard of an engine bogging at a certain rpm level because compression was lost but that's pretty damn severe and should be noticable at ANY rpm. Just trying to throw out options even if it is a percentage on the ridiculous side.
