Oil marker blinks on the gauge???!!!

Hey guys , just as the topic says, sometimes I start the car and it starts smooth and some times it starts with some noise like it can not breath or something and the red oil bulb on the gauge blinks and then everything is perfect..... Just want to know what it could be? I don't push my car, since my clutch is almost gone, and always put super in, synthetic oil, filter on time and stuff- taking the best care I can. So I really worry about that sound and light blinking. Any help is appreciated.

Did you try checking the oil level? Is it leaking?

The light isn't indicative of oil level, but more of oil pressure ... It's perfectly normal, mine does it all the time.

If it really bothers you, change the oil sending unit.

Thanks, but does your car make a sound sometimes?(not all the time) Will changing of spark plugs smoothen it a bit?

if ur car sits for a while....especially when it gets cooler out....all the oil settles to the bottom of ur oil pan and takes a fre seconds to cycle threw the motor.....its normal...like what was said the light indicates oil pressure not level and the blinking is just the oil pressure building up.....
