knock sensor dead but no ghost code or obdii problems

ok I checked continuity on my knock sensor but I didnt get any code from ecu. Ecu thinks everything is fine. Also the obdii says everything is fine. Is this possible? When I am at stopped but in drive, I heard ddadadadad sound. Is that related to knock sensor?

Isnt that the "knocking" he heard and he is asking if it is related to the knock sensor?

I'm willing to bet his knock sensor is fine, and if he measured the resistance, he measured it wrong.

well u c i read this (http://forums.maxima.org/showpost.ph...3&postcount=41) and decided to test continuity check on my knock sensor. There was nothing. i tried other multimeters and still the same problem. I know for sure that I ahve the right cable, because I traced the cable and from this link.

I traced that back. I decided to do a 470k bypass from the first link. Immidiately when I started the car I felt a different sound of acceleration, much different. Now my gears shift closer to 3000 rpm rather than 4000 rpm. How long does this 470k bypass work? I'm testing it to see if there is an increase in my fuel mileage.

It's probably placebo affect. You THINK something is wrong, so you're mind makes you think that now that you have the resistor in it is actually working properly. The resistor wouldn't affect where you're car shifts at. Also this DADADADA is not going to be enough for us to figure out wtf is wrong with you're car. Try explaining in better detail and maybe then we can help.
