4th gen I30 LSD axles and 5th gen AE LSD axles are the same

Just confirming this for everyone. It's been assumed that they are but I don't think anyone has confirmed it. I measured and successfully installed an I30t VLSD axle into my 2001 AE LSD trans today. So for anyone who was wondering if this will work - yes, it will.
Crap. I just bought the last '01 AE one on Carparts this week for $100. The I30t ones are half that. Sent mine down to Marty @ Raxles on Wed. I'll call him and see if he's done any I30t's yet to compare. He said he'd never done an AE locking unit yet and needed an OEM core to work on. My current shaft is a Carquest rebuild that he didn't want to start from.

Yeah I know you did... I called on that axle trying to buy it about 10 minutes after you bought it lol.
The guy said "this is weird I've had 2 guys call on that axle in the last 20 minutes. I just sold it to a guy in illinois." I asked him what the name was and he said "Brian Jones" and I was like "ARRRRRGH I know him and i need that axle" lol. I thought about calling you and offering you like $25 more for it so I could have it but i decided to take my chances on the i30lsd axle and it worked.

. I blew my driver CV again after 2yrs of light use. Having Raxles beefen things up and cover under his lifetime warranty. It's too hard having to find swaps and dealing with installs this often. I just don't trust the quality of a yard unit and have been rebuilding before using any. Need everything working before I do a 1200mi road trip to Topeka. Oh wait, I paid $50 more
The ABS ring looks absolutely identical on the two. The ABS sensor is in the hub not in the axle so I don't know what you mean by that, nor the diff sensor. What is a diff sensor?
Anywho my car doesn't have ABS so ABS codes won't be a problem.

Well my car has ABS and the I30t that i got my VLSD transmission from also had ABS. When i compared my stock ABS axle to the VLSD abs axle i couldn't tell any difference. Can anyone explain what the difference is?
