do all 4th gen maxima have power seats ? im thinking about looking for a drivers side seat ( passengers side here in NZ) without power. then i got to wondering if all maximas have power seats, can someone give me a ya or na on this?

also what would be the weight difference between the two? my leather electric/power driver seat is just shy of 50 lbs. again cloth without power should be lighter, anyone have some data ?

power seats (both driver and passenger) were an option for the 1995 maxima, not sure if it applies to all 4th gens.

C, I don't have power seats and I have leather. Less weight.

The 4th gen FAQ says it is an option.

Non power cloth seats are 42ish lbs, maybe 44, cant remember the exact figure. Not much lighter than yours are.

My 95SE has leather seats, but only the driver's seat is power. The front passenger seat was not available as a power seat until the 96 model year.

I believe that power seats were an option for all 4th Gens, 95 to 99, inclusive.

They were not standard equipment, other than perhaps on a GLE.

definately wasnt an option in 95, i have an SE and a GLE, if the GLE doenst have it, then nothing from that year had it. i have all the packages on the GLE except the spoiler. not like i care, im usually the driver.

In NZ, driver seat is our passenger seat. I think the original question is if passenger seats in the US came with power...or maybe I need to lay off the rock.

yeah, i was under the impression he said passenger, both my SE has heated setas and leather and everythign else and my GLE has all that stuff but no power passenger. i dont think it was standard on the GLE til 96 and an option on the SE.

yeah to be more clear i was looking for a cloth seat (non power) my thinking was it would be lighter than my leather powered seat, and i could find one in a junkyard and swap it when i drag race. this would save me a bunch of cash versus buying racing seats again, which i recently sold the corbeau clubmans due to the outrageous shipping charges to get them here. so that was my thinking find an old cloth seat that would just bolt in. but even if the seat is cloth and non powered and only a few lbs lighter then its not worth it.

so heck ! im going on a diet for 2 months and hope to lose 15 lbs, then this whole seat ordeal can kiss my skinny bum, lol !
