150k!

I know this isn't odd in the nissan world, but I recently reached 150k on my 1996 5 speed maxima. I cannot believe how great this car still runs. I was curious of any maintance that will have to be done any time soon with this mileage on the vehicle? It runs great, no problems, but is it to many miles to start moddin it? Let me know what should be done, should I replace injectors, have the timing chain adjusted, etc? Any suggestions are highly appreciated. Thanks in advanced.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

Do all the visual checks normally done at 60K - exhaust, suspension, CV boots etc.

When was the last time the fluids were changed: power steering flush, radiator flush, brake flush, transmission flush or drain and fill if automatic, transaxle gear oil and clutch fluid replaced if manual.

Fuel filter, air filter, pcv valve?

Clean throttle body, IACV valve, Seafoam through brake booster hose, Chevron Techron in fuel system.

Consider running two applications if AutoRX through crankcase - see www.auto-rx.com

PS check the condition of both belts as well as hoses.

There was a 150K thread a week or so ago. Check that out.

yea. i dont think there are specs to do at 150k. aleast that i know of. since most warrantys max out at 100k. after that they just go by what broken.

doing a 60k isn't too bad of an idea tho.

If the Timing chain isnt making noise at start up, your fine. As for the injectors, if there working, leave them alone..it wont hurt to run some type of cleaner through the gas tank every now and then
