GReddy SP muffler - anyone with experience with it here?

I have come across an oppertunity to pick up an original Greddy SP muffler. Does anyone have a pic of one installed on a Maxima? How does it sound? I am going to set it up with my Budget Y & B (resonated) pipes.

I have the whole greddy sp catback on my car. I love it. on its own, its got a decent sound. not too loud, very subtle until you open it up. when teamed up with a ypipe, it sounds amazing. great deap tone and groan. its agreat exhaust. pics are on my homepage, just click on my sig.

I personally think its the best exhaust for the Maxima. Had it for 7 years already and it still looks like its brand new. Check out my homepage.

well, I'm wondering if anyone has a soundclip of a Greddy on a 95/96 with Budget Y and everything else exhaust stock. with CAI would be even better. i know there are a bunch of these floating around, but i am just starting to consider a Greddy SP (is there a difference between SP and SP2? is the SP still in production even?)

SP is no longer made. only difference between it and the SP2 is that the SP2 has SS piping and the tip looks a little different. there are clips on my cardomain, but only of the cat back and an intake.

I love the top 10 N/A 4th gens on your site...some very respectable cars on there which brings back memories of the good old .org days.

Looks really nice...the look I am going for.

Is there a "GReddy" sign stamped into the side of the tip like there is on the SP2?

Can anyone here verify for me if this is a Greddy SP muffler? The owner is not sure of the model. I can tell it is not an EVO or EVO2 because of oval type housing, and it doesn't appear to be an SP2 because there is no rolled tip and the pipe between the tip and the muffler is rusted.

From looking at your pics it seems to me like there is no GReddy stamping on the side of the tip.

only the greddy sp2 has "greddy" stamped on the sides of the muffler tip.

What are your thoughts on the piece between the tip and the muffler? Very corroded....do you think that is just a result of this thing seeing a few salty/snowy winters, or do you think it was welded in place afterwards?

looks like the a couple of the hangers were re-welded back on. the muffler is stainless steel, so you should be able to polish everything back up and get rid of that tarnish finish. Mine was in a rough shape too, now it's back to it's original polished luster.
