Tail lights

I just wanted to know if it were possible the put the tail lights in the oven so i can clear them out myself or do i have to use the heat gun. If anyone has done it please advise. One other question does anyone know if the coils for a 98 max is the same as the 99(different ecu). thankyou.

The oven treatment is common for clearing the tail lights but I wasn't happy with my outcome. I ended up buying red/clears off of ebay.

I believe the ignition coils are different manufacturer-wise for the '99s.

I would recommend the oven, it's faster, just don't forget they are in there!! It won't match exactly to the stock white reverse lights unless you decide to do them as well.

check how-tos in stickies. oven is done by many and seems to work very well. but might as well get red clears. less than $100, (usually around $70-$80, I believe) for new lights, and you dont risk breaking stockers in case you decide to go back to stock.
