How to fix air horns?
When someone installed my alarm added Hella air horns left stock ones on as well; later on I found that chessy stock ones beep before air ones and now only stock ones beep and after a few seconds air ones beep a little, hardly work; that guy did a very sloppy job, wires all over, expose wires with no tape, etc...I am not going back to him as per feel like beat him up.
This weekend will check fuses, wiring, relay, etc..
Any idea what can be the problem and how to disconnect the stock horns and still be able to use air ones; signal is coming out from one stock spliced wiring, last time just unplugged wires from stock ones and nothing worked.
Thank you in advance for your help, can't afford to pay to fix this problem.

air horns have a slight delay as the air has to get moving to create the sound. but even a one second delay is too much. most air horns have a small air tank to drive the trumpets (horns), but not all. i don't know if the hella's do. you have an air supply problem to the horn, like taking too long to get there. if you have an air tank, then it is too far away (not likely as you would have had the large delay all along). possibly the air tank is leaking out, so there is no air pressure untill the pump can build it up.
as for the stock horns, all you have to do is pull the wire off the horn itself. unplugging the stock horn should not have any effect on the air horn. i'd bet the splice is loose and moving the wire when you disconnected the horn made for a bad connection.
the guy that installed the hella horns is a moron at best and shouldn't work on cars or anything electrical. kicking his butt is illegal and i know that all of us org'ers are law abiding citizens. i wouldn't even demand that he fix the problem because if he knew how to do it in the first place, the horns would work. get someone else to re-do the install. if you paid the moron to to install the horns, get your money back.
