z32 bbk people STEP IN.

Im having a problem with one of my z32 calipers seaping fluid thru the caliper. For those of you that have these, you all know its kinda like a sandwitch with a front and back peice thats squeezed together by those 4 big bolts. Im assuming the bolts just need to be tightened, but concidering these are alluminum im rather hesitant to tighten it anymore than it already is! Does anyone know a torque rating or maybe some advice to stop this leak from happening? THe worse part of all is that i dont even have the caliper on a load! it just seaps out on its own.

Any info will help,
Thanks!

www.twinturbo.net. From what I've read the fsm says not to split the calipers. So it looks like if you can't split them, your only choice is to tighten them. If that doesn't work, you can "try" split them and see if there's a crack or something. I'd try to put a wrench on them to see if one is clearly looser than the others.

Shiat, this doesnt sound good....

Do you think it would be a good idea to straight up take an impact gun to the suckers? I have pretty much tightened it as hard as i can by hand.

Impact wrench + aluminum = not a good idea.

It's leaking from inbetween the two "halves". Not from the piston seals. So I don't think a rebuild kit will help.

I'm 98% sure its leaking from between the 2 "halves" of the caliper. There are 2 o-rings that go in between the 2 halves.

The following threads should help:
