I'll say it again not having AC sucks. My original 96 had ice cold AC until I hit a deer and punctured the compressor, and I never got the system recharged after fixing it. Hot days sucked, humid days sucked, cold days sucked (because it did a very poor job of clearing the fog off the window). My beater had an incident with a deer before I purchased it and doesn't have AC. Same thing. At least that car is white, so it's not as bad as the black car. My turbo car doesn't have AC because it was removed to locate the turbo up front, and it too sucks. I haven't had much opportunity to drive the car especially in the heat of summer because I've been working on it constantly, but it's going to suck as well. I envy setups like Mike's because his car drives and feels like stock while having tons of power.

There is no REASON to remove the AC, so this shouldn't even be a question. The only benefit of mounting a turbo up front (I assume that's what you are thinking of) is that you can get a little more efficient feed pipe routing, and if I were building a car myself, I would not bother doing it and I'm probably among the most race-oriented people on this board.

I'm surprised this thread is still open, this topic has been beaten to death already. Those guys who think they can sacrifice their AC obviously haven't been to other parts of the country where it gets hotter and more humid. Try saying that when your in Las Vegas at 105+ degree day. A/C will have a new meaning for you. No A/C = heat stroke = death. Would having 400+hp under the hood help you then??? Most likely not.
