But yeah, I would. I try not to use the AC in order to get better gas mileage. Whether it helps or not, I'd rather have windows down and an empty highway ahead of me. Yeah, I would.

Is that +400hp/tq as in 400 HP/TQ total to the wheels/crank, or stock 190 HP + 400 HP?
If all I had to do was sacrifice AC, I would for a 400HP car.

Sacrifice AC for 400hp/tq on a front wheel drive car???? Never....especially if its a daily driver. I've had my ac out since august and driving around w/o it in this kind of heat, even with the hot santa ana winds, isn't fun especially in stop and go traffic.

That kind of power will benefit a rear wheel drive car better. If you have ever been in HndaEater's car, you'll know why. But then again, he's in California, like me so you wouldn't know how its like.

After having driven 3 maximas all without AC over the past 2 years, I can safely say no. You can get 400hp without sacrificing your AC anyhow. I've got more than 400hp but I sure as **** wish my car(s) still had AC.

WTF?

Anyway, just let Jay turbo your car. Run a nitrous puge set up into your AC vents if you are really getting hot

Hahaha. That's true man. But my ex didn't like the way I drove a lot of the time with my car stock. I'm sure she would never have ridden with me in a 400 hp maxima. So with no chick in there, I think I could go w/o AC for a while. I mean I'd get where I'm going so fast I wouldn't have a lot of time to sweat. Stop-and-go traffic would be killer in the heat, though. I'd be driving like Ace Ventura with the cracked windshield just to get air.

As Mike plainly puts it.... "You gotta pay to play." You want 400hp, then be prepared to be working just to fuel up your car because with that 400hp comes a very heavy lead foot and you'll see that fuel gage drop.

$3+ per gallon.

As much as I love stripped down cars and motorcycles, it was 104 deg yesterday. It's almost October and we're still in 100 degree weather. The AC stays.

I'd rather have 325WHP w/ AC than 400WHP w/o AC.

But i'd take 400WHP w/o AC over 160 WHP (stock Maxima) w/ AC.
