2002 Muffler installed...

Replaced my POS Dynomax. Dont get me wrong, muffler sounded great, from the OUTSIDE. The inside it sounded like complete ****. So drony and very loud.

This oem 2002 muffler sound 1000000000x better and is super quiet. Did I lose any power? Not that I can tell, if anything it improved throttle response so much. Low end has a bit more of a "kick" now. I couldnt be any happier right now.

Im kinda curious to c what this looks like on the 95-99 rear bumper. Did you have to cut out or anything? I doubt you HAD too, but maybe to extend the already existing indentation for the single tip stocker...

Pics?

No pictures yet. Its sitting ok right now, but I can hear the left tip hit the bumper every now and then. So I have some cutting to do, but not alot. Everything else fit perfectly. I just got back from a long test run, and let me tell you, this thing has improved everything. So much quieter, especially on the freeway. The throttle response is insane compared to how it was before. I dont see any difference in top end power, the midrange and low end is what greatly improved. Plus it sounds so much better when I stomp on it, has a nice little rumble to it.

I replaced my Stillen muffler with a 5th gen muffler on my old 4th gen, and I was a lot happier with it all around. Good choice

Dynomax Super Turbo (2.5" inlet/outlet).

I bought the muffler for $65 shipped, installation was $100, mainly because they had to reduce my 2.5" piping to 2.25" to weld it to the muffler. Best $165 spent lately. Just got back from a little road trip and the ride was so quiet! Seemed to enhance my passing power too. Anyone that wants a quiet muffler but still want a decent exhaust note, pick up a 2002/2003 muffler, you wont regret it.

I could have sworn the 00-03 Mufflers had 1.75-2.00in inlet. That is the reason I am so hesitant to get it. I think I am going to try the G35 Sedan Muffler.
