Whats A Good Anti-theft Club?

im really hooking up my maxima and there are a lot of car thefts going on in brooklyn. i want a good anti-theft device, but nothing too expensive like a G P S or lojack. i want to spend no more than 100 dollars on a good quality club for the wheel. what is a good brand name club?

I saw something like the club except it goes between the brake pedal and the floorboard. Don't remember the brand but I think that would be better than the club for your steering wheel. All you have to do to get those off is cut the steering wheel.

yeah, you are talking about the unbrakeable autolock pro. i have it but you really have to pull the brake pedal up real hard to install it properly and everytime i do that i feel like im damaging the brake pedal medal lol

get a SUV sized Club.
also wire up a toggle switch that can burn off the main relay if anyone try to power up the car without turning it off first

The auto lock pro is really good. I have a five speed and i put it on my clutch for a year now. Works great. I think it would be pretty hard to by-pass it. But I also have a viper 791 with a back up battery, proximety sensor, and a glass break sensor. I really hate car theft as you can tell lol. I had my last max a 91 stolen and stripped. God it was like the worst day of my life. It just feels so crapy cause you start to suspect everybody. And to this day I know it was somebody I know.

Autolocks are good from what I know, and are way more of a deterrent than just a club or most alarms would be.

Some people install kill switches in some obscure part of the car, which is sometimes somewhat difficult to get around... a few guys with Miatas made the cigarette lighter the kill switch, take out the plug and the car won't start. Things like that would probably stop any casual thief, though if someone really wants your car there isn't much you can do about it.

The club is only as strong as the device it's attached too. In this case it's your steering wheel which can be cut with a side cutter in about 1 second to remove the sturdy club anti-thef device.

It's about as useless as your door locks in keeping a thief from getting your car. Don't waste your $$$ on it.

even the viper won't do, the gps is probably the best because these days they just tow your car and have all the time in the world in the shop to break all the locks and alarms and strip everything.

Call your insurance company for a recomendation. They will even give you a discount for certain anti teft devices. Just make sure your policy will cover you if your car is stolen.

I park my max in brooklyn too...kind of a scary place for auto theif. I am using the the "unbrakeable" autolock pro for locking the brake padel. I am just wondering if anybody here heard somebody's car got stolen even using this "unbrakeable" lock? The reason why i am scared because i heard at least 2 max were being stolen in brooklyn within 1 month......

Here is a good anti theft tip thats free

Find out what Fuze runs power to the fuel pump and just pop it out or make a lil switch for it under the dash somewhere hidden. If they do manage to pull the car out, it will either not start or die halfway down the street lol...

Don't waste your money on the club ( unless you think it looks secure).

Your best bet is a "hidden" engine cut off switch..

There is alway the Brake Pedal Club.
