I was driving down the road with absolutely no problems and had to stop for the light. When it turned green I accelerated when thru 1st ok then 2nd and it stayed in second all the way up to 50mph, I guess I just lost third on my auto…. Now I have to decide if I want to fix it… I should have stayed in bed today

 

Plenty of cheap auto trannies available... what are your other options? What year/how many miles on your 4th Gen?

I have a 98 with 130K I was thinking about doing a replacement auto to auto swap (this is my daily driver) just don't know how much effort or cost to do it myself would be. Everything else on the car is perfect except for a little dent in the rear drivers quarter panel. I also had the alternator (recall), TPS and knock sensor center consol lid replaced with in the past three months. All I can say is this really s@cks.

How many miles and how much are we talking?

 

im be doing swap to 5 spd, but im still collecting parts for it.
so far on my auto tranny i have 77k original miles, its in very good condition

 

Well when your set give me a holler, I may be interested. I am still torn about what to do with this car...
