HIDs are your best bet. get some 8000k and ur set. other than that, u wont find what ur lookin for. silvenia sylverstar/xtravision give u the best light for regular bulbs.

Not possible for halogen bulbs, when a bulb gets tinted to produce that blue or purple or whatever the color the output of light is reduced on the road, although I heard PIAA makes awesome quality bulbs that have great light output.

PIAA in 9004, the Xtremewhite are alright, provide great light, but in the rain good luck. Same with the Sylvanias.

PIAA Xtreme White. I never had problems in the rain, and people thought I had HIDs. They are really white with a slight tint of blue. I loved them til I bought HIDs, and now any halogens just suck. Check out Maximabest's group deal for HID kits. Good quality and good products.

yeah HIDs are your best bet .... no 9004 bulb is good in the rain ... but if your gonna stay with a bulb use the silverstars, i have them on my max, almost a year now, no problems...they are good for what they are....HID's are going in soon though .. you dont need 8000K HID's, it looks nice but youll actually get better beam patter and more light output from a 4300K or 5000K bulb ... just my 2 cents..

oh yeah also: that guy is correct^...any bulb with a blue tint is pretty much junk, it looks nice in the housing but youll get poor light on the road

Yes on the output and no on the beam pattern. A headlight housing dictates the beam pattern, not the bulb. The bulb simply shines light and it is up to the headlight housing to reflect it to the road.

I just bought 9004 and H3 PIAA Xtremewhite Plus bulbs. I have not put them in yet. I plan on seeing if I need to go the HID route (probably going to happen in the future).

I had these 9004 blue bulbs called Biolight. They were the best I ever had. Lasted long and where the brightest. I just cant find them anymore. Only reason I took them out is because my ******* friend drove my car with the brights on for about an hour...and it killed them. Regular lighting still worked good but once in a while brights are needed. Now im back to the silverstars. I had them on my old car...no problems. But I miss my biolights. I think they came in a 9004 conversion kit.

^^^did you mean 9007 conversion, drummer?

also, can anyone vouch for the improvement that is seen when you do the 9007 conversion? is it a lot better than 9004, or just a noticeable improvement?

one other thing, in the FAQ's there are two ways to do the 9007 conversion. one seems more involved than the other. is there a difference between the two? which one should I do?
