Car not starting b/c of factory security system?

When my car stopped starting, I took it to 2 mechanics, one friend and the other a shop. None of them could get it to start, and the shop told me there was a problem with my security system. It's a factory unit, and not aftermarket. They told me that when I crank the car, the "securtiy" light should turn off, but now it just stays on while the car is cranking, and now it won't start. Any suggestions on what I should do? Thanks.

Sounds like the immobilizer has kicked in.
Your going to have to get the car to Nissan and have the system reprogrammed to your keys.

Thanks, NJMAXSELTD, how and why did this happen? The day I drove it was in the morning, and it was fine, but when I went to start it around 3 in the afternoon it just would not start.

Well, I just towed the car to the dealership and they are going to charge me $85 for just looking at it. Man, what a rip off.

You can't bypass the immobilizer system on a 99. The ignition key is chipped and programmed into the ECU. The car will not start unless it recognizes the correct key code.
