stupid vents...stumped!

I just bought this 99se maxima with 70K on it...not a problem with the car except the fact that...for some odd reason the two middle vents above the clock dont work...i cant figure out what the issue is..
Its a 99se with the normal controls for heater and AC. (not the auto climate stuff)
any help would be great...

That doesn't make much sence. You can't shut off the center vents like the sides, and if something was blocking it, you'd see it through the vent slits, cuz it'd have to be like a full size towl to block it.

The HVAC system has a few air direction control flaps in the system. You may have one that is not working. Your going to have to look at the system in a repair manual such as the factory service manual to see which one might cause that to happen.

In order to get at the HVAC air flow valves your going to have to take the dash out of the car.

Heh heh, same here, my center lelf vent is blowing much weaker than the center right vent air. Dont really know why, does anybody have the same problem? Please share yours so I dont feel bad. Thanks.
