I recently purchased a 1999 GLE with only 9,000 miles. It has every option available except for two important ones-fog lights and a spoiler. Can anyone out there tell me how much OEM fog lights usually cost? And where can I get them? I want to avoid the dealer because of the high price. I hope ya'll can help me out. Thanks!

fogs and spolier

I hope you got a good deal on the car. A 99GLE...nice.
well, I have a 97 GLE and it lacked the fogs and the spoiler too, but I had it done after purchasing it. The spoiler was about 200 or so...and that was a year ago.
I had the fog lights ordered from courtesy nissan. Check out their site...www.courtesy-parts.com...or from the main maxima.org site page...there should be contact info for them. The fogs cost 170 with shipping and a few of the guys on the board provided invaluable advice about installing them...
so I'd say about 400 would take care of both things for you.

hope that helps.

Re: fogs and spolier

There's a spoiler on Ebay for sale now. I think he started the bid at $9.00 look under "maxima" it's a pearl white one but it is paintable. comes with the led lights installed.
on the fog issue courtesy has the best price anywhere, trust me I looked all over and all the dealers wanted $250 or more.I got mine for $197 with the shipping included but I think the 99 models are cheaper, I got a 95.
make sure you tell them you're a maxima.org member so you get your discount.
Ps. my fogs came with all the instructions.

Another idea

I did the same, but wishin' I didn't. I'm looking at getting a new wing but I'll have to repair the holes that are there. Check this site for other options... http://www.erebuni.net/index.cfm

Make sure that courtesy puts the relay in for the fogs. I never got mine.

I have another question about the fog lights. Are GLE's pre-wired for fog lights already? If they are, I figured I might get lucky and find some at a junk yard or something. Thanks again.

Go To Nissan

If you want a good product, go to the Nissan dealer. I got mine from a local dealer for $176 after using a coupon. The actual list price at my local dealership is $220. The whole kit comes with the mounts, turn signal stalk, bulbs, lenses and relay. Honestly, go to the dealer for the fog lights because fog lights do scratch easily. Even with mine, I usually take them out to clean every month and after a couple of weeks, I had minor scratches on mine. Go to the dealer, and get them. If you want, I can mail you a coupon for 20% off any parts coupon from my local dealer and hopefully, your dealership can match that price quota once they call my local dealership to verify that the coupon is genuine. Just e-mail me your address and I will send it to you. Also, don't get the kit installed by the dealer because he will charge you .7 hours of labor which comes out to over fifty dollars. Do this, buy the new kit and install it yourself, it's not that hard. The GXE and GLE models have a wire harness already ready for the fogs to be mounted and the directions that come with the kit are very well presented. At first it may be hard but then you catch on and then it is a breeze. It took me a couple of hours to install them. FYI, on eBay, I saw one guy trying to sell only the lenses and bulbs for 140.00 USED. Come on, for $40 more, you get a brand new kit!!!

The GXEs with the C&C package do, the base models don't.
