grounding kit just installed!!!
I've seen something on the net talking about grounding kits
http://www.vqpower.com/v2/modules.ph...rticle&sid=149
Today, I made my own grounding kit (on a '99 5 ES spd max)..bought some 4 gauge power wire(6 foot lenght) and some gold plated "o" shaped terminals(6)...I cutted the wire of different length as shown in the previous article and connected it to the 3 different places showns in this article again...
1st : from the intake plenum to one of the mounting bolts wich holds the wiper motor
2nd: from the negative pole of the battery to the bolts wich holds the fuse box (right beside your intake filter)
3rd: I putted a bolt in the hole right beside the oil gauge (right) going to the hole in the frame of the car (wich is right beside the windshield washer funnel)
results:
I've seen an improve, emt in the idling of the car wich is smoother than it was and also, a much more improved throttle response...the lights are brighter than they were and my clock isnt going away like it was used to do (the clock inside the car resetted from itself sometimes)
finally, I think that for an investment of 18$, this is a great mod to try and it improves a bit the functionnality of the car...I think it's worth it! so ground yourself and enjoy!

There are 4 wires, you're missing one I believe. The one from the timing chain cover to the chasis ground. I was sent 4 grounding wires when i ordered that kit. Go to Active tunning's site and check out the instructions on how to install that kit.

yeah I know that there were 4 wires but I tought that 3 would be enough..I grounded the front of the motor to the side of the windshield washer funnel and I tought it was uselesss to start an other wire right next to this one and run it right next to the other extrimity...but at least, if you want to gof for the 4th one, there's about 1½ ft left of wire...just buy 2 more connectors..
