ok i read and asked before about how high to rev and how to take off when racing. the responces were to bring it up to 2.5k and drop it. at first i thought it was pretty good, but then my friend told me that that way wasnt effecient and told me to bring the rpms up to around 4k rpms and ride the clutch. thats what i did and i rode the clutch, got more wheel spin but i shifted into 2nd gear much sooner than before with FULL wheel traction. conclusion>> higher trap speeds on the 1/4m right?

i tested these takes off continuously and if i brough the rpms higher and ride the clutch and got more wheel spin, i was always able to jump my friends integra more then bringing the rpms up to 2.5k.

is my mind playing tricks on me or is bringing the rpms higher and riding the clutch more effective? wouldnt it also give you higher trap speeds on the 1/4 since you are shifting into 2nd gear sooner with full wheel traction?

very true i guess... every person has to handle their own car the best i can. i feel that 4000k is better for me as where Matty feels 2000k is better for him....
