Help, Car Is Sputtering
Okay went I left for work this morning the car was driving fine, no problems. Leave to go run some errands on my lunch break and start the car up, it sputters. Found it odd so I cut it off and recranked the car, still sputters. So I pull out and it's making the sputtering sound in every gear. Other symptoms noticed are sluggishness and lack of power. Anyone has a solution to this cause it's bugging the hell out of me. Thought it might be low on oil, added a quart to see if it helped, nothing. Could it be bad plugs, coilpacks, or what? Guys please help.
Did you check the oil level to make sure it was low before you added the extra quart?
Sputtering -> what do you mean, does it idle rough/low? does it die if you don't give it gas?

I have a very similar issue, it's been going on for little over a year now. At first it only did it every now and then, it's at the point now where it does it almost all the time. In the beginning, it didn't throw any codes, but then I had some other issues that caused it to pop (bad O2 sensor, engine temp sensor). I fixed all those problems, same thing happening, but it did get a *little* better.
I replaced the fuel filter as well, I'm thinknig, at least in my case, it may be spark plugs (I doubt that tho, I had the problem before I replaced them the last time) or maybe clogged injectors... Which I'm not too thrilled about having them cleaned, it costs like $125 down here, but I probably should anyhoo.
At least the car doesn't stall when I'm driving anymore, that was scary... Nissan has some freaky ways of telling you that your car has problems

didn't check that before. The only reason I suspected was cause I looked under the car and noticed that I have sludge/oil type build up like something leaked all under the car. Noticed it on the oil filter as well. About 2 weeks ago I couldn't swerve to avoid hitting a piece of tire that wa in the road and my car is lowered so after thinking about it just now, maybe it hit something and knocked it loose, like the oil pan or filter. Like I said before the car was fine early yesterday morning and then all of a sudden around 12 it started acting flakey. Yes it does idle rough, not low but rough as hell. Seems like after switching from the Bosch plats that the other idiots I had work on my car put to the NGK coppers, the car started having issues. Time for a switch back to NGK Plats.
