9007 HIDs in 4th gen ?

Since, I have just converted my 9004 to 9007 on the stock harness, can I get a 9007 HID kit ? or would I need an upgraded harness as needed for the Nokya higher wattage 9007 bulbs?

maximabest says this:

but I am not quite sure even though he said this...
Does anyone want to add anything to help me decide what I should do ?
Does anyone have a setup like this, 9007 HIDs ?
Thanks

i think its better if you undo your conversion and run 9004. But i mean thats my personal thoughts. Due to your housing's beam pattern reflectors.

those HID kits are illegal since you dont have proper housings for them just to let you know. But a lot of ppl have them. Have you ever considered doing a retrofit.

I give you a little warning because my friends went out and picked up HID kits and then in about 5-6 months they got pulled over and the cops took them away. 3 diffrent people in chicago. But i think they didn't aim them right.

The ppl i've seen who bought the HID kits have shields on them and aim them very very low to the ground. Not sure how the much thats gonna to push out but just wanted to warn you. I know its not what you were looking for but i figure u might not know about this.

How can the cops take it? thats bs. they can only take it if its illegal. i would go to court with that, and at least remove them and sell them back

Aftermarket plug and play Hid kits ARE illegal. They are illegal because people buy them and just throw them in a housing creating glare all over the road. The sellers don't care cuase they are making money. That's why I wasn't surprized that the cops confiscated them; I never heard of it happening before but I'm not surprized. It wouldn't matter 9004 or 9007 because all hid bulb filaments are parallel to the car. The stock 9004 sucks because it's filament is perpendicular (goes from left to right instead of front to back) to the car.

HID's in those housings are ok....but you HAVE to re-aim them when you are done installing them. I've had them in my for a while now, and cops dont even give me a second look.

yea thats what they said. they got them back cause they went to court for it. got like 2 tickets and stuff. If you aim them right, you might get pass cops. But they didn't aim at all.

IMO, Just do a retrofit..Because the plug & play kit(hid kits) sucks. I've seen many maximas out here with them, and since they have them aimed down, its like having halogen all over again except you may light up the road in front of you a little more. So save yourself the trouble of having cops harass you, Just do a retrofit and be done with that.
