HID problem

I have a problem with my Z-Max HID's. I know that I lose my highbeams on the 9004 bulbs. However, now when I turn on my headlights, the highbeam light comes on on the dash. It also looks like the highbeams are always on, because the lights makes that 'ring' like when they are on and light everything up more than usual. When I turn the highbeams on, the dash light still stays on, one light goes out and the other dims. It seems like it does the opposite. Can it be the harness or a fuse?

thanks for any assistance on this.

Hid kit wiring destroys your stock wiring without a special circuit made for it. Alot of people don't know that but they will buy the glare ids anyways. Good luck on getting it fixed/rewired. Most aftermarket kits are garbage anyways on top of that.

alfonso is right. HID actually use less wattage than those gaybay xenon HID...

first of all, how did u install your HID? how did you wire it into your stock harness socket?

secondly, for the 9004 harness socket, there are 3 holes. 1 for the ground, 1 for the 12v on low beam, and 1 for the 12v on high beam. most 9004 HID system doesn't have low/high beam bulb system like the stock ones nor the xenon hyperwhite, so you should be only plugging into the ground and the low 12v low beam.

lastly, the headlight fuse shouldn't be upgraded for HIDs cuz stock spec 15amps for the headlight fuse should be enough for ur HID.

i suggest check ur wiring first....

well...I kinda found the issue. I checked out the replaced harness (from the car 3 prong to the HID kit) and found that there were all 3 wires connected. Once I disconnected the third wire, and turned the lights on, the dashlight did not go on. Taking the third wire out, fixed the problem, thanks for the suggestion.
However, I still have the problem of the lights 'flickering'. This has to be a loose wire somewhere, so I'll just find it and electrical tape it together.
The issue with it giving it a 'halo' look, is because one of the bulbs is not sitting right in the headlight casing. When I move it around, the ring goes away. Thanks for all the input guys

.. jsut make ur own harness for htem.. with a 2 relays and that way thell stay on even if you hit the highbeam by accident.. and also the ballast get damaged if keep them on teh stock wires.. cause they wont get hte power they need at inital startup...

also usign the relay and making your own harness keeps the hids from doing the wierd dimming when starting car... and also would remove your wierd dimming/highbeam/whateve problem...
im working on making a whoel relay setup so my lights wont stay on when key is out of the ingition..

the wiring is easy.. if u want a diagram email me.. and ill scan u one that i drew if you want...
