Sure is plug and play on the 4th Gen... It was surprisingly hard to pry the old maf out, but other than that, pop old one out, put in new one, plug in new maf and
There is a rubber o-ring in there somewhere to seal it - make sure you use it.

Smart move. Why are you replacing your MAF to begin with?

been noticing it jerking a bit at low rpms for a while now. then last week it started jerking alot harder and actually died. since then it has been very difficult to drive because of stalling but i only drive 20 miles total a day. anyways i pulled the codes after my check engine light came on and looked em up. an 0102 and a 0201 along with my good ol 0304. posted on here and someone said it was almost def. the maf. went out and messed with it and if i moved the maf a bit it would die out, so i figured that had to be the culprit. now i just gotta fix that ks, but the cash flow wont allow it just yet, and i am not too concerned b/c my main concern is mpg and from what i have read it doesnt make that big a difference, i already get 360 miles to a tank.

I remember your thread now.
Actually KS will lower your mileage 15% or so... so get the MAF in, reset the ECU, drive around for a few days and then check for codes (even if the CEL is not on). If you pull a 0304 and no other codes, it's time for a KS. You can pick up a brand new one for about 60-80 bucks these days if you look around.

I'm also pretty sure the MAF for the 4th gens are plug and play cause Ive taken mine out like 3 times already and reinstalled it with no problems. Also on another note, I recently removed the screen on the MAF and noticed a big difference in lower rpms.
