Exhaust question

I was just wondering if anyone knew which exhaust system was best for a maxima... as well as affordable... if anyone has any useful sites it would help a lot

I'd also like to ask if anyone know what is the stock exhaust pipe's diameter

All your answers lie there.. There is no "Best", its mostly based on what you prefer.. Sticky that in your favorites, its a good site

what kind of exhaust do you want? loud? flashy? smooth? mellow? i would suggest stock muffler with a y pipe and resonated b pipe.

well, I see no point in ricing out a maxima with a loud muffler, I want more of a smooth and mellow sound, u know, a nice racey sound, not the blast that makes the car seem like its farting everytime u accelerate, lol... I was thinkin just get a nice muffler, and the custom the pipes myself instead of buying those expensive kits. thats why I'm askin for the diameters for the pipes so I know what to ask... would a 2.5" give the best output?

10whp for a ypipe

Bpipe + muffler = 5whp or less

Test pipe/Str8 pipe = 1-2whp...

I'm also looking for a nice cat-back. I already have the WS y-pipe. I'm trying to find something smooth and mellow when cruising but louder when you get on it without the ricey sound. So far out of all the vid + sound clips I heard, cattman sounds the nicest in my opinion. Anyone have or heard the Cattman in person?
