I have Kumho KW-19's studded (you know, the racing rally tire). Let's say, most SUV's dare not keep up with me in a turn...

Too bad Calgary is having a really really mild winter. No snow. It's all brown and dirty. I should take a picture with my black steel winter rims on. She looks like a ghost car

Not hard. I'm sure I'd be better off with a quattro audi with esp on studded tires, but I'm managing fine so far (knock on wood). Snow driving is overrated, my dad drove a rwd car on ice on bald tires the whole season before so meh. Good tires is all you need (unless you're peter solberg lol).

Oh, and yes, e-brake = FUN!

FWD's are excellent in the snow, which is one reason I chose the Max over a RWD car. They are less prone to fishtailing/losing control and they don't get stuck as easy. Add TCS and LSD and you're set! FWD's are prone to understeer but so are AWD's.

I prefer driving the Maxima over our AWD Forester. I find it handles better and doesn't get pulled around in heavy snow as much.
