E-brake light on
Anyone experience this. My E-brake light sometimes stays on after I turn on the car. Sometimes it doesn't, but lately it's been more on than off. And yes, my e-brake is released.
Yes, low brake fluid is a sign of 1. Leak in the brake system/ loss of pressure, or 2. Worn brake pads.
As your pads wear down, the pistons in the calipers displaces the space that used to be occupied by the pads, and so more brake fluid is in the caliper and thus not in the reservoir, and then the brake light comes on from the low fluid. You should have your brake pads checked the first chance you get.
