clutch recommendations ???
It's gettin to be about that time, my clutch is slipping when i lay on the gas in the higher gears.
so what would the maxima community recommend for a replacement?
I'm not boosted yet, but prob won't be for a while, so i'm thinkin a stock replacement should be ok, unless there is something more tough with a stock feel to it.
Where would be the best place to purchase one from, and please lets not mention the stealership
Thanks guys

The 5th gen clutch will bolt right up to a 4th gen with NO MODIFICATION REQUIRED, and stated in post 8.
If you drive an n/a max with regular bolt ons, dont bother with aftermarket clutchs like ACT, exedy or spec. The 5th gen OEM clutch will provide more than enough grip. An aftermarket clutch is just a waste of money. Many people will say that they are happy with their exedy or spec or what ever, and I dont doubt that, but its still useless.

You don't need the pilot bushing. It doesn't make any contact with anything in there, what so ever. It is suppose to help align your tranny as you put it back on the engine. However, the tranny itself doesn't even have a pilot tip for it to slide in the bushing so the bushing is totally useless. When I pulled mine out, it showed no sign of wear or tear at all. I know the bushing only costs a few dollars but you can spend that on starbucks instead.

I want to say the 5.5gen clutch should work also, dont anyone buy this because I'm tink so, but in reading about the vq35 swap the clutch suggested is the 5.5gen, 6th gen, or a spec 1 clutch. When someone swaps in the vq35 they are still using their 4th gen/5th gen tranny. So 4th gen tranny with say 6th gen clutch, 4th gen flywheel. If this will work with the vq35, it should work with the 3.0 enigne because the same tranny and flywheel is being used.
If I am wrong here someone correct me. This was something I was pondering last night.
