New '98 SE owner checkin' in w/pics

Just picked her up yesterday from a friend of ours. 112K, SE, Blose, 5-speed, leather, heated seats for $3,400. He left me a great paper trail as far as service records go which were all done by the stealership. I was the one who start the thread about this cars first 112K miles run on 87 octans. The car needs a serious clay-bar session come spring. The inside however was in great shape.

Looking forward to the correspondence here.

Here is another passion of mine

You know approximately one in how many maximas were made in 5spd for our generation? If you know the numbers for just SE's, that would be awesome. Im getting the feeling that a bunch of SEs were made in 5spd, probably a lot less for GXE.

i pretty much bought the exact same car almost exactly on year ago. same colors, 5sp, 99k, but also a '99, for just under $7000 from a dealership. you got a sweet deal.

yeah, i wouldnt worry about the 87 octane, most people dont know anything about gas but the prices anyway. most likely any car you buy used had 87 in it.

very nice car, 112k is nothing for these engines. Give this car a nice drop, and some other extras, then come to the track and race me.

I think most 5 speeds wound up in GXEs. Just from when I was looking for a Maxima, I'd say only 15-25% were 5 speeds. Most I ever saw were automatic

I belive its around 11% of all maximas IIRC from the sticky, i might be wrong though
it certainly doesnt look like 1 in 10 maximas are 5 speed though, judging by the time when i was looking for mine.

I find ton's of 5 spd's all the time. There's a 99 se 5 spd from the same dealer I bought mine for $6500. Most 5 spds were SE's. In my search I come up with mostly SE's being in the 5 spd version.

At least my car is anyways.

Nice find by the way!

Nice! Welcome to the .org. Nice garage! Is that a 4 car garage?! I actually have a 4 car garage too but I cun just barely fit two cars in there and barely walk around. Do you have ABS? Clean those floor mats!

Yeah, the whole cars needs a good detailing. The gargae is 28 x 28 x 11. It has an epoxy floor with a vapor barrier underneath the slab. I have future plans for a 4 post lift. Thats why I have the high ceiling and high lift garage doors.

Here are a couple pics of just the garage

Very nice garage. I think mine is about 40' wide (2-2 car garage doors), about 20' deep and only about 9' ceilings on 3/4 of it and rafters on 1/4 of it (maybe about 10' high from floor to rafter). But I would be way too embarrased to show pics right now. Yours looks great.
