Opening stock fog housing!

Has anyone tried opening their stock fogs? The reason why I asked is because the reflective coating in mine are falling apart. So I plan to open them up and spray it down with some kind of light reflecting paint if that even exists. I don't want to dremel my fog housing like one has done before. I just want to know if baking them will be enough to open them up.

Thanks.

So I assume you've tried baking them first?

Yes I read that one. The modder dremeled the fog housing....that's what I am trying to avoid.
