go to the dealership and find out.

Explain to me again, why you would want to go to the dealership to do work on a 11 year old car that won't start?

This happend to a friend of mine. The shop told him the alternator was fine because after the jump, the car would run. He said the battery was the problem because it didnt hold the charge. Most car stores check batteries for free, atleast around here but I'm sure it would be everywhere else also. Please don't pay someone else to put it in for you. Either do it yourself (VERY VERY easy) or I know some stores put them in for free as a convenince thing.
