Ralph, this is saddening. Good thing you are alive. I recommend taking it to the best body shop in Austin, Jeff's Body Shop comes to mind.

I'm published in novels, poetry, and nonfiction. So as not to annoy the moderators overmuch, this is just the first verse of one in a similar vein:

Procaration

It's unnatural without the right body parts.
Pipes always wrong, so they try it different ways.
Side to side. Doggy style. Head to head.
Broken eyes left lying in the road.
I tried to steer my Escort from predatory lovers.
They want to mount her, leave stains
at night, glowing green-yellow.

hehehe.....

Yeah, same color. I like the pearl white.
After he hit me, I turned the car off and got out to inspect the damage. I told him he was an idiot and he told me he was sorry and that he didnt see me.I was pissed, but there wasnt much i could do about it but call the cops. Which I did.
I have insurance, and everything on my car is covered so i wasnt too worried about it.

I love the white. I don't even know what color to repaint my car.
Anyhow, sounds like you got it under control. Let me know how the paintjob goes, I need to find a good shop for my dents and dings and paint. (I'm in houston)

**UPDATE**

Well, I have been talking with both ins. parites and they both informed me they were investigating the accident to determine who was at fault.
The person that hit me was disputing fault and his insurance told me they had to wait to get the police report to determine who was at fault. The police report was released this week and after revieiwing it and reading the other drivers statement in terms of what had happen the decision was made that he was at fault.
My car is getting fixed by his insurance Co. and will be going into the shop next week.
YAY!
Here is the Police report that sealed the deal...

I still dont know how he didnt see me.
I can post pics of the lot later to show just how the layout is if anyone is interested.

This may be a blessing in discuise, as long as your frame isn't bent or your suspension isn't messed up. Something similar happened to my 99' last summer, but not as extreme. It opened options to add further mods to my maxima such as body kit and led altezza lights. Hang in there the rental thing and dealing with insurance people sucks but look at the bright side, yes there will be a light at the end of the tunnel. Best Wishes

Sorry to hear about that, but at least you got the guy's insurance to pay for it. I got clipped in April (5 hours after having car detailed) at work, left rear 1/4, $1,750 to fix and I have to eat the $500 deductable. Good news is now I can tell the IRS (we have issues, LOL, $50K of them) the car is worth $1,500 and they won't seize it. Will also get some freebies thrown in by the body shop. The damage doesn't affect car's performance, just my (bruised) ego.
