Haha oh come on guys we all were new once...ok some of us still are new but ya. r134a is ozone freindly so i didn't feel to bad about lettin it free

I'm not necessarily talking about that. I'm talking about the hassle of having to refill the a/c system when removing the compressor is completely unnecessary.

Lol true true but oh well lil late to be worrying about that one! So I have everything off now, just cleaning off the old gasket material, i used a scraper then some steel wool to get the stubborn rtv stuck in grooves
