humming from the front end

I noticed since I bought the car that when Im on the highway on-ramp with a faint right turn and im on the gas a little that I hear a humming noise coming from the front end that doesnt seem to happen on a left turn. Is this a bearing or CV begining to wear out that will eventually get worse if I keep doing turns like this? I also noticed once I took a full hard right out of my street on the gas decently to beat the oncoming traffic and heard a loud grind-metalish noise that caused me to promptly straiten the wheel out. Any chance that these noises are related and/or did I cause them to worsen by taking the hard right like I did? Just curious as to know what these weird noises are. Thanks
