97 Stock Wing removal

My stock wing vibrates really bad when my bass hits. I believe that the wing is held on by clips and these clips have broken. Does anyone know how to remove the stock wing?

there are 4 bolts on the bottom closest to the 3rd brake light (inside the trunk) then the 4 clips on the outside edges. dont worry about breaking the clips they will most likly break anyway. when you put it back on make sure you use 3m double sided tape, bolts, and all new clips. it should help with the rattles

i have been previously trying to use the 3m molding they call it tape but its more like a clay and that doesnt hold anything down at all. Are the clips expensive and do u think putting a rubber washer on the bolts will help with vibrations?

mine had a rubber piece under the wing from the factory(between the wing and the trunk lid). Use the 3m molding tape (the black stuff with red backing) make sure you clean both surfaces very good and don't touch the tape. Those clips are about $20 a set I think but they are the right way to do it.

what do you do about the wires running through the stock wing to the led assembly. or is there a harness inside the trunk to disconnect it from.

Hey thanks for all the help. Is there an easy way to get those plastic things holding the carpet on the trunk lid off?

Wow just called my local nissan dealer they said that the clips are 12 dollars each and the gromets are 5 dollars. Kind of pricey for a little piece of plastic

I dont think they should be that much. I was thinking mine was around $20-$30 for the set. that $12 is that for a single set of (4) and then $5 for the other
