As for the tie rod nut, measure it to be sure.
15mm = .591"
16mm = .630"
17mm = .669"

Alright, got the box end of the 3/4 around it, sadly my cheater bar wont fit over the open end, so im gonna have to pad the handle and pull like hell..... At least its progress...

Sucess! Ive finished. I ended up removing the ball joint, and after that hellhole, got the spindle seperated from the bolt. The second the axle came out of the spindle i basically creamed myself. A couple yanks and it came out of the trans. BOY was this thing messed up...
After getting the new one in,
I filled it up with 3 new quarts of ATF, (after the 4 i replaced yesterday, so i ended up with about a 60% mix)
And took it for a drive. Everything felt good, my insane vibration from 40mph+ was gone, and she took turns like a champ again.
And the little wonder that made this all possible (besides you guys of course, much love!!!!)
All in all, NEVER GIVE UP, NEVER SURRENDER!!!!!

like 14 if you combine yesterday and today, but it was well worth it. Now that its done its one of the more fun things ive done with my car. Dirty, but orange cleaner kicks butt!!

Great work. Glad to see you didn't give you. It sounded like you was last time i read. When you was asking bout a Tow. My first ever set of CV boots last year took me 5 hours roughly. Mainly because I didn't buy a half-shaft, I bought a CV boot Kit costin about $7. It was the rubber boot 2 clamps and the grease. Well After doing 1 side and seeing how a pain in the butt it is to get a boot over that opening where that metal band is. If you noticed there is like little or no play in that. I finally got 1 side's boot on after i torn one boot. I said screw it i'ma spring for a half-shaft instead. That took my 5 hours. With impact tools.

I had a friend help me with those steering knuckle bolts - they were on tight! It's definately a hard thing to try to push and pull at the same time to try and break those bolts looose. Ah well, the success of an axle change is something unique, I know exactly how you feel. Good job, and I'm sure you feel great that you didn't have the car towed.

very lol, it was a mix between my pride and the extra cost that kept me away from a tow... I figure there HAS to be a way to get it done, and after some .orging, i figured it out.
About that endlink, I know, its totally wasted, I'm going to order some new LCA's and endlinks sometime soon, I just wanted to get the axle done first. At least all the bolts are cracked loose for next time
