Steering wheel sits slightly tilted to the right when car is driving straight

Fellas, my suspension on my front end really is really starting to suck, i got 150k miles on original parts except 4 monroe sensatrak struts about 1.5 years old. my LCA bushing and ball joint on the passenger side are pretty worn. And my steering wheel sits tilted to the right about 3 degrees when im driving straight. Car also pulls to the right at times and even to the left at times. (its intermittent) anyway, anyone have any idea why my steering wheel is slightly turned to the right when im straight? tie rod bent? advise me fellas!

Sounds like you need new tie-rods if you car wanders...

Replace worn out suspension and steering components and get a thrust angle alignment.

Is it definitely a bent tie rod if the steering wheel is cocked to one side? A friend and I did an alignment on my '95 a few days ago, but when working on the right side the toe for both sides veered off to the left, but we thought nothing of it and continued the alignment until the toe for both sides was fine. Now my steering wheel is cocked to the left and the car pulls right a little worse, I think we just somehow pushed the wheel left a bit by accident when we were doing the alignment, hence the screwed up readings.

Also, how hard is it to replace the tie rods (and tie rod ends, I assume)? I have access to lifts and all sorts of tools both power and air ~8 hours per day, so that's no problem.

Tie-rods are easy to replace.

An off-center steering wheel (in your case pmohr) is most likely because you didn't have it right in the center while adjusting the alignment. That's one of the problems with the 4th Gen rack (imho) - there is really no good center-feel... I have had 3 alignments in the past 6 months trying to get my steering wheel centered, but even now, it's cocked to the right slightly when I'm driving straight.

Replacing tie-rods (inner and outer) is fairly straightforward. See orgname "nick" - he has writeups on his cardomain page.
