please do not flame me since i have no one local to ask. at the current time on my car i have a 2 3/4 midpipe with a some random turbo muffler. i was thinking about taking that off and reinstalling a cat and about a foot after the cat putting on a can style muffler and dumping the exhaust right there. if anyone has anything to say about this idea let me know and help would be great.i plan on using a 2inch 1 foot section of pipe inbetween the cat and the muffler
p.s. my car is already pretty loud, the whole reason i would consider this is b/c i could do it myself

It has been done, race maximas, really loud, you will get a ticket, not a good idea for daily driving. If your really going to do this use a test pipe, muffler of your choice, and side exit the tailpipe before rear wheel. Just be ready for exhaust tickets, loud and annoying, not a good idea unless drag racing.

 

they dont give exhaust tickets here. i dumped the exhaust today and sounds good and deep to my surprise. i just ended up unbolting the muffler and then putting 2 1/2 inch pipe from there back with a tip on it. its not ricy at all. now i just have to wonder come inspection time...........wait wait oklahoma doesnt do vechile inspections , so im in the clear
