Poll: Glass or Plastic Headlights
There are advantages and disadvantages to both of these headlights.
Based on your experience with either, in the event that you needed to replace your headlights, what would you buy?

I personally don't dislike glass but I've had no problem w/ plastic lamps. I think plastic is easier to find and less exspensive. If your worried about small chips in the plastic or discoloring you can buy clear plastic film that goes over the lights, and peel them off after they're no good.

Plastic doesnt get foggy?
Since When?
Personally, I like the clear look of the 97-99's but dislike the fact they yellow and get hazzy after a while. Yes, they can be sanded and buffed but Im lazy and would prefer the 97-99 look, in glass. less maintenance.

Plastic is Foggy, Glass is ALWAYS clear no matter what
Now, if you're talking about the design on the glass (has lil lines so its not as clear as a Plastic light WHEN NEW)..
A few years later, I bet teh plastic light will be foggy and chipped everywhere... Where the Glass light will still be clear

That glass weights a ton, when it gets hit good enough it will chip from those pebbles on the highway/roads. That would only be a big deal if it chips in the light pattern, that will be good enough to get on your nerves everytime you think about it. The plastic takes some maintenance but that film makes it easier to maintain.

Glass headlights definitely. They require no maintenance whatsoever and stay clear for decades (literally). I hate these plastic headlights on my car foggy as hell and even after following the sticky they are still foggy and yeller. The difference in weight (2 lbs if that) is negligible considering you're riding around in a 3000 lb car.
