ECU blinks on and off

I had just put in my new system in and i disconnected the battery terminal to put the power cord for the AMP. Then when i screwed everything back on thats when the ecu light on my dash blinks on and off constantly. I tried resetting the ECU but it did'nt work? What can be the problem....Thanks

Yes, the CEL.... Did you mess with the screw on the ECU?? Is it blinking a code or just blinking on/off

Yes i did because i thought by resetting it the blinking would go away. Well it looks like a pattern when it blinks.

Read the ECU sticky and figure out what code is being flashed and then report back.

alright its 0804. It went 4 long pulses, 1 long pulse, 3 long pulses then 4 fast ones. The code definer said; Automatic Transmission Control Unit signal to ECU but mine is a 5 speed.

Reset the ECU (then the screw all the way CW, pause for 2 seconds and then back all the way CCW, then turn off the car. See if the code reappears.

Then you have an ECU which came from an automatic.
